Introduction to GIS and Confident Spatial Analysis, UCL, London

During a warm week in July, Nick spent three days at UCL in London running GIS courses in conjunction with the ADRC-E (Administrative Data Research Centre for England) and the CDRC (Consumer Data Research Centre). We ran three one day courses, developing the courses we had run at UCL in February. It was great to come back and increase the number of people who could benefit from using GIS and spatial data in their work.

GIS Training at the Essex Summer School

During a sunny week in July, Nick taught GIS, Map Making and Spatial Data Analysis at the world renowned Essex Summer School in Social Science and Data Analysis. This is the second year Nick has taught at the Summer School, it is a great privilege to be invited back.

Beirut: Sun, Sea and GIS!

In the last week of May, Nick headed over to Beirut, Lebanon to run a GIS training course for the American University of Beirut. He was invited by Dr Fatima Abu Salem at the Centre for Advanced Mathematical Sciences and Department of Computer Sciences to run a session on GIS and Geospatial Data Analysis for their undergraduate and masters computer science students.
